Outdoor Revolution Campeze Inflatable Sofa

You shouldn’t have to sacrifice comfort for convenience. Whether you’re looking for an inflatable sofa to use indoors or outdoors, we’ve got a roundup of the best inflatable sofas online.

Older inflatable sofa models are pretty bulky, and for many users, this was a significant turn-off. However, newer styles have wholly eradicated this problem. Therefore, we ensured that the sofas on our list were light and compact. We also selected inflatable sofas that occupy reasonable space. So you can move them around quickly, if necessary.

The second most common problem with inflatable sofas of old was maintenance. Some of the older styles were prone to leaking air from the seams, and buyers forever had to patch and mend so the sofas would hold shape. Thankfully, we’ve found the sofas that are of top quality. Once pumped up, there will be no need to get the pump out again every few hours. No air escapes, so the sofa holds its shape.

Overall, we were impressed with the durable materials of these sofas. While the soft fabrics are great for comfort, they are equally durable. We looked for sofas that could withstand being left outside under the hot sun for short periods. We also looked to see if the material could withstand low puncture risks like rocks or cheeky pet claws.

For those of you who look for unique products, you’ll be happy to know there are a variety of inflatable sofas available online. You can choose from different sofa designs and colours on the market. So, you don’t have to worry about showing up at the campsite or having something in your home that is plain and generic. Let your inflatable sofa reflect your sense of style.

Along those same lines, we love that inflatable sofas offer flexibility in their use. Some of the couches on our list pull double duty at night by transforming into an equally comfortable bed. This can be useful for a last-minute guest or spending an impromptu night under the stars.

Let’s face it, inflatable sofas are convenient. But only when they perform as advertised. To that end, we’ve reviewed some of the best inflatable sofas online to help you narrow down which one you should ‘add to cart.’

1. Intex Pullout Queen Inflatable Sofa

Score 8 OUT OF 10
Intex Pullout Queen Inflatable Sofa

Intex has long reigned supreme in the region of inflatable sofas and mattresses. What they have offered here is a dreamy combination of both. The Pullout Queen Inflatable sofa is affordable, durable, and transforms from a loveseat to a queen size bed in a few seconds.

It is so easy to set up this inflatable sofa, and all you need is a good pump. On average, it only takes a few minutes to get this sofa adequately inflated.

Once inflated, we were happy to find that the air valves were well-positioned. They are on the back of the sofa, so they don’t ruin the aesthetic. This is also useful as you can push the sofa against a wall or other barrier to prevent children from releasing the valves.

Furthermore, the Intex Pullout Queen features an extra-wide valve. Overall, you can spend less time inflating the sofa and more time lounging. One thing to watch is to make sure the valve has been securely closed once you’ve finished inflating.

The standout feature of this inflatable sofa is that it quickly pulls out into a sizable bed for two. Furthermore, the bed configuration allows the back of the sofa to act as a headboard. This eliminates the annoying problem of your pillow falling off the top of the mattress. This is a great feature if you need a compact solution to put up guests. It also means there’s no need to pack both a sofa and an inflatable mattress on your next outdoor trip.

The good news is that packing this one up will be a breeze. The Intex Pullout sofa only weighs 7.7kg, and compressed it measures 36 x 46 x 23 cm. Once it is unfolded into a queen-size bed, the Intex Pullout measures about 221 x 193 x 66 cm.

Pros

  • Accommodates two people
  • Waterproof design
  • Secure valves
  • Easy to clean
  • PVC mattress
  • Compact folding for easy storage
  • Affordable
  • For indoor and outdoor use
  • Puncture-proof
Cons

  • No air pump

2. Outwell Laze Inflatable Furniture Set

Score 10 OUT OF 10
Outwell Laze Inflatable Furniture Set

Outwell Laze is another outstanding inflatable sofa brand on our list. If you are particular about comfortable texture, this brand is for you. What’s great about this set is that you get not only a durable, comfortable sofa—but an armchair and footstool too!

Therefore, this set is an ideal choice for families. Little ones will love having their own chair, and the footstool doubles as a quick perch for someone when you aren’t using it to kick your feet up.

In addition, Outwell has made this sofa set extremely durable. It is great for both indoor and outdoor use.

A major highlight of this product is the unique tactile fabric used to cover all three furniture items. Too many inflatable sofas use slippery vinyl or plastic that means you end up sliding right off when you’re fully clothed and sweating if you’re lounging in a swimsuit. The material on this set not only prevents sweating—it creates friction against other fabrics, so you stay put! As a result, this is one of the most comfortable inflatable sofa sets on the market as it’s effortless to maintain a proper sitting posture.

Furthermore, the Outwell Laze features a rounded backrest and armrests. These essential features make the sofa snug, and it also provides a modern aesthetic to help dress up a space.

Besides being very comfortable, we love that the Outwell Laze has a removable cover and a waterproof tarpaulin base. The cover is easy to clean and doesn’t hold stains. Additionally, the waterproof base makes this set the perfect thing to pack for your next trip. Whatever the weather, you can be sure you’ll be hanging out in comfort.

The Outwell Laze measures 54 x 38 x 23 cm when deflated. Additionally, the overall combined weight of this best inflatable sofa set is 10.7kg, and it won’t take up much space in your home or outdoors.

Since there is a waterproof and durable base, you can set up camp on stony grounds without worries about punctures.

The Outwell Laze set comes with a simple valve, and it allows you to inflate the sofa quickly. The valve accommodates both manual or battery-powered pumps, which is convenient.

Pros

  • Inflatable in minutes
  • Set of chair, footstool, and sofa
  • Great for families or groups
  • Soft, comfortable, detachable covering
  • Easy to clean
  • PU-coated two-tone fabric cover
  • Waterproof tarpaulin base
  • Wide and supportive armrests
  • Extra durable
Cons

  • No inflator
  • Heavy when deflated

3. Outdoor Revolution Campeze Inflatable Sofa

Score 9.2 OUT OF 10
Outdoor Revolution Campeze Inflatable Sofa

The Campeze sofa is for all seasons. It offers a stylish and innovative design fit for both indoors and outdoors. When inflated, the sofa measures 160 x 85 x 75 cm. In its deflated form, it compacts as small as 46 x 15 x 46 cm. Also, deflated, it weighs 9.4 kg. In addition, it has a maximum load capacity of 240kg, which makes it adequate for two adults and maybe a kid.

We love that this sofa comes with its own carry bag, which makes it extremely portable and easy to store when not in use.

Just like the Intex Pullout, this inflatable sofa also converts from a double seat couch to a comfy double bed. The flexibility it offers makes it an ideal choice for anyone looking for a durable, compact, 2-in-1 option.

To convert the sofa into bed mode, you simply need to undo some of the velcro straps that help hold it in sofa shape. The bed folds out in a matter of seconds and offers cosy sleeping space for up to two people.

Furthermore, the quality of the material of the Campeze sofa is another reason to make sure you pick one up for your next trip. The fabric is conducive to hot or cold weather and is gentle against your skin. It’s nice and soft, so you don’t have to worry about sticking to it in hot weather.

One thing that’s a little bit unique about the Campeze is the number of air chambers. This sofa actually has three separate air chambers that need filling. Each chamber can be filled and configured to create no less than five different seating and sleeping options.

Essentially, each configuration is a variation on either the bed or sofa form. However, the ability to configure your sofa allows you to adjust its height substantially. This is useful for older users as you can build the sofa quite high to make it more comfortable to use. The sofa features a series of velcro straps and zips to help you pick your sofa shape.

The main downside of the Campeze, according to users, is the backrest in sofa mode. Some customers have complained that the backrest is too low to be supportive.

Pros

  • Lightweight design
  • Convertible
  • Also acts as a double bed
  • Durable and soft fabric
  • Includes handy carry bag
  • Innovative design
Cons

  • Quite expensive
  • No pump
  • Unsupportive backrest

4. Intex Inflatable Corner Couch

Score 9.2 OUT OF 10
Intex Inflatable Corner Couch

The unique L-shaped design of this corner couch makes it a standout on the market. Whether you have a small or large space to work with, the Intex corner couch is sure to work well.

While it doesn’t convert into a traditional bed like some of the other sofas on our list, it is large enough to sleep on. Some reviewers found that it was quite firm for a prolonged sleep, but it worked well in a pinch or for a quick cat nap.

On top of that, the Intex corner couch is reasonably priced. If you’re looking for an inflatable sofa that can pull double duty without the higher price tag, this might be worth considering. Really, it depends on how often you need it to work as a bed. People expecting to sleep on it frequently might want to look into convertible options.

While this sofa is a little bit heavier than the others on our list, weighing in at 12.9 kg when deflated, that’s to be expected due to its size. Truly, when inflated, the Intex corner couch becomes the closest thing you could expect to a real sofa. It offers ample space to stretch out as well as a 400 kg weight limit. You can easily get a few friends together to hang out and relax in your tent or outdoor space. Fully inflated, the sofa is an impressive 257 x 203 x 76cm.

On that note, it does take quite a bit of time to inflate. Deflated, the sofa is quite compact, measuring only 42 x 34 x 28 cm. We were impressed that it went down so well. However, to go from being so compact into something so spacious, you’re looking at a good 15 to 20 minutes with an electric pump. The Intex corner couch doesn’t come with a pump included, so we recommend you invest in a good quality electric inflator to help you get this one up. Chances are, you won’t want to tackle this beast with your little foot pump.

Finally, this inflatable sofa is absolutely designed for the outdoors. It has a sturdy vinyl surface along the bottom to protect from puncture risks like small rocks. In addition, the material of the sofa itself is waterproof and slightly flocked to create friction between you and the sofa. That means no sliding around. Overall, the Intex corner couch is the perfect buy to make your next outdoors trip the height of luxury.

Pros

  • Comfortable design
  • 400 kg weight capacity
  • Compact when deflated
  • Waterproof flocked fabric
  • Puncture-resistant vinyl
  • L-shaped design
Cons

  • Quite heavy at 12.9 kg when deflated
  • Takes a long time to inflate

5. Vango Inflatable Relaxer Set

Score 5.8 OUT OF 10
Vango Inflatable Relaxer Set

One of the great things about the Vango set is the versatility it offers. Rather than a traditional sofa, the Vango set is actually two inflatable chairs designed to fit together to form a sofa. What this means is that you basically get the option of either having a sofa or having two chairs.

We love this because it means you can curl up with your partner if you want or separate the two pieces to sit across from someone if you’d prefer.

Furthermore, the set is easy to inflate. It features an easy-flow valve so you can quickly inflate or deflate the chairs. While the set doesn’t come with a pump included, we hardly expected one at the price point. This is a great option for people who already have a pump and are looking to save extra money.

Reviewers were also happy to report that the Vango set holds air well. Most users experienced little to no deflation even after a few days. Another reason why we like it is that it will stay in a contoured shape after pumping. This is partly thanks to the coil beam design that enhances strength and support at the base. Additionally, the design means that each chair can handle up to 120 kg.

On the plus side, each chair only weighs about 2.25 kg when deflated. They are super light to carry around with you, so a great replacement for traditional folding camp chairs.

On the downside, the Vango chairs are low to the ground. This is great for young ones as it means they can climb up themselves, but less so for anyone that struggles to get up and down. If you plan on relaxing in one after a long hike, you might find you have difficulty getting back up!

Pros

  • PVC surface covered with velvet
  • Easy inflation and deflation
  • Patches included inbox
  • Versatile nesting design
  • Free-flowing valve
  • Light to carry
Cons

  • Low to the ground
  • Only come in brown

6. Bestway Inflatable Couch

Score 7.6 OUT OF 10
Bestway Inflatable Couch

The Bestway is one of the lightest inflatable sofas on the market. When deflated, the sofa weighs a mere 4.3 kg. In addition, the entire thing packs up into a carry bag measuring 41 x 33 x 13 cm. However, Bestway doesn’t compromise weight and size for class and comfort.

The Bestway inflatable couch is reminiscent of a sleek leather Chesterfield sofa once inflated. Immediately noticeable is the high, supportive backrest and ample armrests. The sofa is made from shiny PVC plastic, which offers a leather-like look.

Unfortunately, the downside of the material is that it doesn’t have any flocking. So, just like a leather sofa, the Bestway can be slippery against clothes and sticky against the skin. That said, the upside of that is the material is completely waterproof. Imagine lounging on your inflatable sofa under the sun while floating in a pool.

The Bestway is another sofa on our list that converts into a bed for nighttime use. However, reviewers had some complaints when it was folded down. To transform the sofa into bed mode, the top of the seat unfolds. The problem with this is that there is then a gap between the top half of the mattress and the bottom. Some users found this uncomfortable for sleeping. In addition, the bed is substantially smaller than some of the other options on our list. It is perhaps best suited for kids or one adult. Notably, the bed is only 1.5 m long, which means that taller adults would find it unsuitable.

Still, the couch comes at an affordable price and includes an air pump. In particular, we like the superior valves on this inflatable sofa. The valve design is guaranteed to keep the air in, even when two adults sit on it for a long time. They also allow for fast and easy inflation. The entire sofa can be set up and ready to go in under five minutes.

Pros

  • Travel bag included
  • Heavy-duty repair patch included
  • 5 minute set up
  • Air pump included
  • Easy to clean
  • Waterproof
Cons

  • Small bed size
  • Lacks straps to maintain structure

7. Asab Double Pod

Score 9.2 OUT OF 10
Asab Double Pod

Probably the most unique inflatable “sofa” on the market. The Asab Double Pod is a fun option for kids but equally enticing for adults. Rather than a traditional couch design, the Asab features two nest shaped pods connected by the main body.

While it doesn’t necessarily look like a conventional sofa, the design is sleek and innovative.

Each pod offers a cosy, comfortable place to relax. They feature a high backrest and soft, tactile material along the top and the seat. This part of the sofa is a lovely red, so it stands out amongst what others might consider drab, neutral coloured options. The main body of the sofa is made from black PVC plastic but is only used in places you won’t have to worry about sticking to in hot weather with bare legs.

The Asab double pod is also the lightest option on our list. The couch weighs as little as 2 kg despite its ample size. Inflated, the couch becomes 135 x 85 x 49 cm. It’s bigger than you might initially expect, given how well it packs down, but because of the design, we wouldn’t recommend it for larger adults. Each pod is best suited for average sized adults or kids. Due to the nest-like design, larger adults might find there isn’t enough space to relax comfortably.

All in all, the sofa takes about 5 minutes to set up. However, it doesn’t come with an air pump, so you will need to provide one yourself. We wouldn’t recommend trying to blow this one up without some kind of pump though a manual one might get the job done if you don’t have access to an electric inflator.

Pros

  • Innovative design
  • Tactile, red covering
  • Quick inflation
  • Super lightweight
  • Great for budget buyers
Cons

  • Not suitable for larger adults
  • No option to lay down

Buying Guide

There are a couple of crucial things you’ll want to consider when deciding the best inflatable sofa for you. As with anything, your own personal budget, needs, and expectations will affect the best choice. Make sure you have a list of necessary requirements in mind before you start shopping around. For example, if you need a specific weight allowance, then make sure you have that written down to refer to. Additionally, you’ll want to consider the intended purpose of your sofa—do you need it to convert into a bed? Are you looking for indoor or outdoor use? Does it need to be waterproof?

With that in mind, let’s take a look at the factors to consider when buying an inflatable sofa.

  • Measurements

Surprisingly, this is not as obvious as people might think. Always be sure of the space you are buying the sofa for. For example, if you are looking for a sofa that will fit inside your tent, then you want to consider not only the tent size but the leftover space after you’ve packed any other gear inside as well.

You may also want to consider how much space the sofa takes up when it’s deflated. If you need to pack your sofa in a rucksack to get to your site or are tight on space in the car, you’ll want to pick something that packs quite small.

You should be able to find exact dimensions under product details. Keep in mind that convertible sofa dimensions will vary according to the configuration you set it up in. For example, a sofa that also converts into a bed will have different dimensions in either mode.

  • Set-Up

The last thing you want is to buy an inflatable sofa that you have to spend an hour blowing up and securing when the sun is going down on site, and it looks like it might rain. Some of the sofas on our list can be ready to go in as little as five minutes. The best inflatable sofas will be easy and straightforward to set up.

You may also want to consider whether or not the sofa comes with an air pump included. Most don’t, but some do. If you don’t want to have to spend more money on an inflator, then look for one that has a pump included. Trust us; you definitely need a pump of some sort. Don’t try to blow up an entire sofa with a set of lungs.

In addition, part of the set-up should consider the valve design as this will play a role in air retention. Once you’ve set your sofa up once you don’t want to have to keep blowing it up every few hours, the air valve is responsible for trapping the air in your sofa so make sure you find a brand that has reputable parts. Patching a sofa is easy. Replacing an air valve is not.

  • Material

Whether you intend to use your inflatable couch indoors or outdoors, you need to ensure its material is durable. You may need to lay it on concrete, damp sand, or grass during use. So, you need to be sure it is safe on these surfaces.

Not only that, keeping the fabric clean should be easy. Whenever it gets dirty, you should be able to clean it with a cloth only. Please avoid products made of less durable material.

  • Weight Capacity

Inflatable sofas have different capacities. This refers to the weight the sofa can support without collapsing. This is one of the most significant factors to consider when shopping for an inflatable couch. Make sure you consider how many people you intend the couch to be used for. If you are a family, you’ll want to take into consideration both your and your partner’s weights plus any kids. It is likely you’ll all end up piled on the sofa together.

If you buy a sofa that isn’t suitable for the weight you intend to put it under, you risk damaging the product. You will likely experience decreased air retention and could pop a seam or bust a valve. Overall, your product will be less likely to last, so it’s better to invest in one that can handle your needs.

  • Comfort Features

Things like a high backrest and flocked fabric are among the most commonly coveted features of inflatable couches. The size of the armrests and the overall amount of space you have to stretch out are also important. Make sure you take into consideration your comfort as well as practicality and durability when looking for the best inflatable sofa.

If you plan on spending any significant amount of time on your couch, make sure it works for you. Larger individuals should stay away from the Asab double pod. People who don’t like the slippery feel of plastic should stay away from the Bestway inflatable sofa.

  • Weather Resistance

Depending on your intended purpose, weather resistance might be a crucial feature for you to consider. For outdoor use, you’ll want to know that your sofa can hack a little bit of rain or withstand being in the sun for short periods. In addition, the base material will be important to make a note of as it will be in contact with the ground. Therefore, you’ll want to look for a sofa that has waterproof or at least water resistant fabric on the underside. This is useful for setting up on the damp ground or in case of any water (or beer) spillage.

  • Customer Reviews

Reading other customer reviews is a great way to get an idea of how well a product performs before buying it yourself.

Here is a tip: focus on the three-star reviews. These are the reviews that can tell you the most about a product’s realistic downsides.

  • Price

Your own budget will play a major role in the best inflatable sofa for you. There are a range of affordable sofas on the market as well as ones that are more higher-end and thus come with a hefty price tag. Consider how often you intend to use the sofa and how much money you are willing to part with.

From there, you can weigh up the different features that each inflatable sofa offers and find something that best suits your needs. Don’t feel like you need to go over budget to get a good quality inflatable sofa. There are lots of options out there that are reasonably priced, comfortable, and durable.

Suppose you’re looking for something that can act as both a sofa and a bed, then it’s also worth considering the price from that perspective. If space allows, you might be better off buying two separate products. Vice versa, if you were originally planning to buy two separate products, you might consider raising your budget to buy a better quality sofa that does both.

  • Protection Against Punctures

This is an essential feature that concerns the majority of the buyers. The modern inflatable sofas are usually well-protected at the base and around the seats. This lowers the chances of punctures. All you need to do is make sure the manufacturers have considered fortifying the base of your inflatable sofa.

You will read that their inflatable sofa can last for years because it cannot be punctured easily. They usually indicate this as a selling point. However, we still advise that you should read the reviews as well. Find out how other customers fared against rocky terrain and pet claws.

It is best to go for brands whose claims can be backed up by customer use.

Frequently Asked Questions

1. Is an inflatable sofa a good buy?

Inflatable sofas offer a lot of versatility and comfort. They can be used indoors or outdoors, and some double as an impromptu bed for the night. If you feel like you lack a comfortable lounge space when you go camping or are looking for a more compact option to lugging around traditional camp chairs, an inflatable sofa is a great investment.

2. What is the best way to clean an inflatable lounger?

This will depend on the fabric of your sofa. Anything made from PVC plastic is easy to wipe down with a damp cloth. Comparatively, if your sofa has a flocked fabric, you should brush away spills with a dry cloth first. If necessary, you might want to use a wet cloth, depending on the fabric. Most inflatable sofas are weather resistant to small amounts of rain, so they will be fine with a wet cloth. You should never put an inflatable sofa in a washing machine.

3. What is the best way to inflate an air couch?

Don’t try to blow up a sofa without a proper pump. We recommend investing in an electric pump if you plan on using your sofa often. Most sofas can be inflated in a few minutes with an electric inflator. In a pinch, a manual pump will also do the trick but will take longer and require more energy.

4. How long can these sofas stay inflated?

On average, the best inflatable sofa should retain air for a minimum of 48 hours. If your product loses shape in less than that, it is possible you have a leak. Confirm that the air valves are correctly closed and locked as this is a common problem. If that doesn’t solve your issue, you’ll have to investigate further to find if there is a puncture.

5. Do inflatable sofas float on the water?

Depending on the material of your inflatable sofa, it could be used as a water floaty. Investing in a good waterproof inflatable couch could be great if you are often on the beach or by a pool. They are easy to set up and light enough to carry from the car down to the waterside. However, you’ll want to consider the balance of weight on the sofa to make sure you can safely use it in the water without it toppling over. Furthermore, you should look for an inflatable sofa that is one piece rather than several connected by straps.

6. Can I use a hair dryer to inflate my sofa?

No, please do not attempt to do this. Instead, use only air pumps. We discourage using a hairdryer to inflate it because of the hot air. The material of the couch can be damaged by the heat. Also, you want to protect the valve. Secondly, the pumps are designed to fit the valve in the best way to inflate your sofa quickly.

Conclusion

A durable and quality inflatable couch is a must-have if you enjoy being outside. It is built for maximum convenience, as it is lightweight and easy to transport and store when not in use. However, due to the numerous brands available in the market, locating one is often more challenging than anticipated.
